Pearson provided contracting strategy, construction oversight, scheduling and claim resolution to the Chicago Bears football team on the $640-million 20-month renovation of Soldier Field in downtown Chicago. This project was completed on time for the September 29, 2003 Green Bay Packers versus Chicago Bears Monday Night Football game. The project was constructed in a congested urban area and much of the work was performed under a seven-day-per-week, 24-hour-per-day construction schedule, which was the fastest constructed NFL stadium in history. The stadium consists of 1,200 piles, 10,000 tons of steel, 350,000 square feet of precast, significant infrastructure revisions and only 20 months was allowed for construction. Pearson also performed constructability reviews of design drawings and worked with the design and construction team to identify controlling trades, access issues, and manpower needs early in the design process. As design work continued, Pearson prepared detailed planning, scheduling and production requirements necessary to achieve planned completion.
